For those who have been following my blog for a while now would know that back in 2021 I interviewed Bella Kingi on her fitness Instagram account. Fast forward 2 year's, Bella's fitness and lifestyle journey has evolved and taken new turn's. Recently Bella and her friend Micah have published a fitness program e-book called Tighten & Tone which focuses on bodyweight exercises and is perfect for beginner and intermediate level individuals looking to spice up their fitness regimes. It is a six week program and the book is easy to follow and is ideal for anyone who works out both at the gym or at home.

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?
Well... I've just turned 25, my happy place is in the corner of a coffee shop with a vanilla latte and a book, and I am a primary school teacher (with a lil fitness thrown in there somewhere too!)
CONGRATULATIONS ON LAUCNHING TIGHTEN & TONE! WHAT IS THE PROGRAM ABOUT?
Thank you!! It's been a long time coming! It is a 6-week bodyweight programme designed for the gym, or your garage (which was where I completed it). It is a great one to use if you are stuck for ideas, want some variation in your workout regime, or want to go for the full 6-week challenge! It was a little passion project my friend Micah and I worked on together, and I am so proud of how it turned out <3
HOW LONG WAS THE CREATIVE PROCESS TO DESIGN THE PROGRAM?
We came up with the idea to make one probably about a year and a half ago, and then we took some amazing photos by the incredibly talented Luke Foley-Martin. Micah wrote the programme. I completed it (in my garage) which took a little longer than 6 weeks. We then decided we needed a beginner's book too, so we wrote that. Proofread it... and BOOM it was done!
WHAT WAS THE MOTIVATION BEHIND CREATING IT?
Micah and I just wanted something that we could use and enjoy that we had created ourselves. It also meant we had something we could share with others. She had the brains, I had the creativity (and Canva) so we decided why the hell not!

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS AND PASSIONS AROUND FITNESS?
2 ideas come to mind: - everything in moderation - consistency > intensity
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE EXERCISE FROM THE PROGRAM?
Definitely NOT the pyramid finishers with the burpees smh
WHAT DOES YOUR WEEKLY FITNESS ROUTINE LOOK LIKE?
I try to be active every day. I prefer to go to the gym early in the morning. I will wake up around 5.15 am, go to the gym, then have a coffee and read, starting my day calm and positive. The weekends are unfortunately usually spent hung over - but that has recently changed as I am not drinking for the next three months because of 75 hard.
DO YOU HAVE A DREAM THAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO FULFILL?
At the moment I think all of my dreams are in the process of being fulfilled... I am nearly fully qualified for my dream job (a primary school teacher), I am about to travel the world (in June my boyfriend and I are going to travel around Europe and then move to London for a couple of years), and I am becoming the best version of myself, physically and mentally (through 75 hard!).
WHAT WAS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT CREATING THE PROGRAM?
Proofreading... you'd think that a teacher would be better at spelling lol
WHAT IS THE NEXT STEPS AFTER THE PROGRAM LAUNCHES?
For me I think this is the end of the road in terms of workout programmes, however, I think this is just the beginning for Micah... She is the one to watch!
